Well, the wedding is over and done with...I haven't mentioned it much, but I was a bridesmaid. It was a lot of fun and absolutely the picture-perfect wedding you always dream of as a kid. I wish my childhood best friend the best and hope they have have a lifetime of love and happiness.

A few of my fond moments )

Writing Meme

If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or what have you, post one sentence/paragraph/whatever from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else--this is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).

Finally a good weekend!
I did spend Saturday morning cursing the families who were grocery shopping with me and my mom (40 minutes just for queuing at the cash register, I kid you not >_>) but after that I got to relax in the afternoon, and today I went to Fumettopoli... and finally met [info]kiu22!
We did it, girl!
It only took us a year after all! XD

I found there were a lot more cosplayers than the other times I went, probably cause I went later than usual too and it was already packed :P
There were a lot of Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji costumes, one girl in particular was perfect. I even saw a Madame Red and Joker! XD
And right when I thought I'd get no Ciel and mentioned to Kiu my penchant for liking the disliked characters, a Ciel in his lovely victorian attire walked by *_*

Can I just say how weird it is to be a fan of a serie that's currently popular?
Jeez, never happened to me! XD
When I was all into PoT nobody knew it in Italy, for the other series I obsessed over I came into them late in the game... but Kuroshitsuji is freaking everywhere now in Italy O.O
I had to restrain myself from buying every single thing I saw and walked away with "just" the official artbook, a purdy optical mouse (one day I'm gonna get the girl who swiped the mouse pad with Sebastian molesting Ciel right from under my nose! XD), Ciel's blue family ring and this awesome mug that has the original version of this picture on it *______*
(why can't I found the original version??? )

I should have taken some pictures myself, there were just so many good costumes! (the Harry Potter with his broom and stuffed owl would have pleased my cousin much XD)
Hope you'll post some, Kiu ^-^
And thank everyone for putting up with my nerd self (you included) :P

Now I'll go drink a ginseng coffee in my new cup :P
What about you guys, how have your weekends been so far?

OHMYGODOHMYGOD.
They've released a second trailer for the new AI NO KUSABI anime, but apparently, the air date has been moved back to 2010 instead of September 2009. *cries tears of yaoi blood*

But look at this trailer, it is so beautiful! No, I still can't get over the animation. Really, all this teasing just makes fangirls like me even more rabid. I didn't think we could get any more foamy at the mouth.

Yes. Yes I was the half-naked loser running down the street in pursuit of that ice-cream truck this afternoon. AND...?

I just...really wanted a swirly cone. I heard the cute music coming down the street like some child molesting pied piper, and barely had enough time to grab my wallet and keys before I was out the door. And when I failed to catch it, I look down and I'm like: fuck I wish I remembered to wear pants with this long shirt. *edges along a wall*

I'll might as get this done now while I'm brainstorming for NaNo...

STEP ONE
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. [Note: Your home address is not required!]

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Carry all your thoughts across an open field )

Now back to NaNo, I'm already making progress as it is and I need to do more to at least get past the 10K tonight.

ETA: Am I the only one who giggles uncontrollably whenever she sees "damn straight" in the context of a slash fic? Because seriously, whenever I read Star Trek slash fic and I see this phrase which is a lot I might add I end up grinning like an idiot. |D;;
